Rules for the SANReN CSC Qualification Round
General:
1 - Each team is expected to participate in the qualification round remotely.
2 - The qualification round with consist of a collection of Capture the Flag challenges.
3 - Hints are made available for certain challenges and used by teams at their own discretion. Used hints will not be reversed by the organisers.
4 - Submissions are unlimited but attempted brute forcing will be detected and blocked.
5 - Organisers will respond to participant queries by the next business day.
6 - The organisers will invite the top teams to attend the final round at the CHPC National Conference.
7 - Please note, teams will have to achieve a minimum in the qualification round to be invited to the finals.
8 - The organisers’ decision is final and no negotiations or correspondence with participations will be entered into.
9 - At the discretion of the organisers, more than one team from an institution may be invited.
Prohibited Actions:
1 - No hacking of the hosting platform or manipulation of the scoreboard.
2 - No sharing of flags or solutions with other teams (especially on the Discord server).
3 - No use of malicious software or tools that may negatively affect the hosting platform.
4 - No denial of service attacks against the hosting platform.
5 - No physical or social engineering attacks.
6 - No unauthorized access to other teams' systems or networks.
7 - No interfering with other teams' progress in the competition.
